Since founding the firm in 1977, Jim Bartimus has been recognized as a premier medical malpractice attorney, representing plaintiffs nationwide in complex negligence and pharmaceutical cases. Bartimus, who attended medical school after receiving his J.D., considers it a personal mission to handle all client cases with precision and care. ìEvery day, people walk in who have suffered a catastrophe or a tragedy and my motivation is to try and help them.î
Bartimus is also a contributing author to a number of textbooks and has written extensively for national legal publications. He is a past adjunct professor to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, and is past adjunct graduate faculty for the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Nursing. Bartimus has spoken at more than 200 continuing legal and medical education events throughout the United States, Europe and Australia.
Bartimus and his wife Dana are involved in community activities through The DanaJames Foundation and enjoy traveling and spending time with their three sons, Adam, Philip and Ian.
